I understand what it's like to be overwhelmed by a ridiculously expensive and complicated skincare routine.
And I totally get the struggle because it can be confusing and frustrating to actually get the results you want.
My journey to bring you Me Time Botanicals began after my own struggles with self-care and boy was it showing up on my skin. I found myself in an abusive marriage while trying to juggle it all. I constantly put myself last, I didn't know "me time" was a thing.
Hormonal acne was showing up on my skin because stress was taking over and my cortisol levels (hello stress hormone) were off the charts. Obviously, I wasn't doing the best things for my skin, mental health, or my body. I felt overwhelmed and insecure about how I looked. After my tear-filled sleepless nights, I realized if I was going to show up as my best self, it was important to fill up my own cup first. Does any of this sound familiar?
After building up the courage to leave my abusive relationship and (ultimately) finding true supportive love, I found happiness in yoga classes, meditation, and through the natural skincare rituals I was creating. And I fell in love with it. My skin started healing and so did my soul.
Inspired and renewed, I felt a calling to teach you it is OK to pause, to carve out Me Time through those same rituals that healed me and my skin. Giving you back a few minutes each day to just focus on you. Fueled by this passion, I enrolled in an award winning Organic Cosmetic Science School to broaden my formulation knowledge and to dive deeper into plant and skin science and set up my studio in Charleston, SC.
During my deep dive into clean skincare, I noticed that nearly every single clean natural skincare line I came across either didn't really work or cost a small fortune. That's when I knew something was broken and I had to do something about it. Clean beauty shouldn't break that bank.
